CALTRANS EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II

Job Description and Duties
Positions support our winter operations and are
intermittent,
seasonal and temporary only. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications and possess a valid, unrestricted Class A driver's license with Tank (N) endorsement. Operate various types of specialty trucks and equipment used to perform snow and ice control. Perform work in extremely cold weather conditions, perform heavy manual labor, traffic control and chain control functions. Candidate may be working for other supervisors and/or work units depending on operational needs. Candidate may be required to respond within 30 minutes. Employment is contingent upon the candidate holding requisite skills for the position; being successful in the interview process; passing a pre-employment medical physical and a pre-employment drug test. Multiple positions may exist.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
